Your Hospital Team

Your Cheyenne Regional hospital team includes a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff members, all of whom care deeply about providing the highest quality of care and meeting all your needs while you’re here.

During your stay, a variety of healthcare professionals may visit you, including personnel from the Laboratory and Radiology departments and physical or occupational therapists.

Provider staff

The physician who admits you is responsible for directing your care during your stay in the hospital. As the coordinator of your care, your physician should be consulted if / when you have questions or concerns about your condition.

Nursing staff

Made up of professional registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and nurse assistants, the nursing team provides 24-hour nursing care. A nurse manager is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care on each unit. Please feel free to contact your nurse or the nurse manager if you have questions or concerns during your stay.

Pastoral services

We believe that total patient care requires attention to the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of each patient. Members of the pastoral services staff are available to assist you, whatever your religious tradition. Additionally, your priest, minister, pastor or rabbi is always welcome to visit you while you are here.

Dietitians

Our staff of full-time registered clinical dietitians are available to assist you and help you meet your dietary needs during your stay. If you have questions about your meals or diet, you can reach the team at extension 7975.

Care Management

The Care Management department coordinates services, personalized hospital care, appropriate use of resources and post-hospital care. All of these functions are aligned with patients’ preferences and right to self-determination and choice. RN case managers and medical social workers from Care Management focus on developing a safe discharge plan that meets your needs, including helping you plan for care and services upon leaving the hospital and informing you of available community resources (nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, other hospitals and home care agencies).

Environmental Services (EVS)

A member of the EVS is responsible for cleaning your room daily. If there is a housekeeping problem in your room, please tell your nurse. The issue will be taken care of as soon as possible.

Volunteers

Cheyenne Regional Volunteers contribute many hours of service and financial assistance to the hospital each year. They supplement the services of the hospital staff in a number of ways and can be identified by their name badges.

Administrative Rapid Response Team

The Administrative Rapid Response Team identifies high-risk patients and those who are at risk for cardiac or respiratory arrest. You can reach them by calling extension 7535.

Other personnel

The Cheyenne Regional family includes a number of “behind-the-scenes” employees, including accountants, engineers, marketing specialists, tech specialists, secretaries, food service workers and many others who contribute greatly toward your well-being while you are here.
