Hospital Volunteers

The Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Volunteer organization currently has more than 300 members. The group provides various services, staffs a number of events and collaborates on a number of projects at both the East and West campuses.

Membership with the Cheyenne Regional Volunteers is open to any adult (over 18) or student (ages 15-18) community member who has the desire to meet, greet and serve our medical center guests. We offer a variety of opportunities to “give back” to our community by working closely with Cheyenne Regional Medical Center staff members to provide the best care in our region.

Routine Weekday Volunteers
Hospital volunteers provide a variety of services to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Our flexible program has many options for those interested in giving back to the community. Whatever your interest or availability, we can find a project suited for you!

We do ask that volunteers commit to 25 hours a year, either through a routine weekday schedule or by helping with occasional or seasonal projects. If you would like to volunteer on a regular basis, you may be interested in one of the following areas:

  • Waiting Room Host / Hostess – Volunteers offer refreshments, stock the room with current magazines and escort patients to other areas.
  • Information Desk Greeter – Volunteers welcome and direct visitors to their destinations.
  • The Pink Boutique Gift Shop Assistant / Cashier – Volunteers staff the shop and help visitors and employees select gifts and other sundries.

Occasional Volunteers
Many opportunities are also available for those who cannot volunteer regularly. Opportunities include clerical and administrative duties (for example, updating the Volunteer organization’s scrapbooks). Volunteers also serve as greeters and help with registration at hospital events. Plus, we always need extra help with our holiday gift wrapping effort in which, volunteers wrap gifts from the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve. Duties include making bows, wrapping gifts and staffing the booth at Frontier Mall. This is the Volunteer organization’s largest off-site annual fundraiser.
