Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Course

Cheyenne Regional offers an initial Basic Life Support (BLS) certification course and a BLS recertification course, both of which follow American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

During both courses, students will be taught basic life support techniques that can be used in case of an emergency to help promote adequate blood circulation and breathing until more advanced resuscitative measures can be implemented.

The BLS initial certification course is a live 2.5-hour course. An online heartcode is due before the first day of class. The heartcode takes anywhere between 1.5 – 3 hours to complete, depending on the student’s knowledge.

Course manuals are not required; however, books are available for purchase.

Upon registration, you will receive a course instruction email with instructions on how to access your heartcode, date and time of the class, location of the class and what to expect.
