Level II/Special Care Nursery

For premature and sick newborns, we have a Level II/Special Care Nursery also known as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Our goal is to help newborns experience an easier transition into their new world. Our NICU staff consists of registered nurses who have specialized training in caring for neonates.

We offer plenty of space in our individual rooms for you to bond with your baby. If a newborn needs to stay after you are discharged, it’s important to us that you have space too.

Additionally, the Cheyenne Regional lactation team will continue to support moms and NICU infants with breastfeeding. (For more information, visit our breastfeeding page.)
