Mother-Baby Unit

In Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Mother-Baby Unit, which includes Labor & Delivery, our goal is to support expectant parents throughout pregnancy, childbirth and recovery.
Your experience begins in our Labor & Delivery unit, where you will deliver your baby and begin your recovery. For mothers who need a cesarean section, an operating room suite is conveniently located within the unit.
After recovery, you will be transferred to the Mother-Baby Unit, located on the same floor as Labor & Delivery.
Because bonding is an important part of the first days together, CRMC encourages rooming-in so mothers and newborns can stay close. During your stay, you will have a private room designed to provide a warm, comfortable space for rest, recovery and quality time with your baby.
We also offer overnight accommodations for one support person of the mother’s choice, along with snack accommodations for the patient and support person.
We encourage all new mothers to complete the New Mother Worksheet. The worksheet can be accessed by clicking the link below.

At Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, we partner with you to create a personalized birthing experience that supports you and your baby.
Your comfort and safety are our priority. We offer pain relief options, including nitrous oxide and anesthesia, to help you choose the approach that feels right for you during labor and delivery. Our experienced care team, including NICU specialists when needed, is here to support you every step of the way.
Our staff goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best that it can be. It’s that “little extra” that we feel makes us different than other mother-baby units.

Lisa DeShaney is a wonderful CNA who also likes to surprise families with fun characters that she fashions out of room towels! Don’t be surprised if one of these characters finds its way to your room!
