CRMC receives $15K grant from American Cancer Society for patient transportation, lodging

The American Cancer Society recently awarded $15,000 to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation to provide transportation and lodging assistance to people with cancer during treatment.

The grant is part of a nationwide investment of $9 million that is expected to provide nearly 60,000 eligible patients with an estimated 700,000 transportation and lodging services.

“We’ve partnered with the American Cancer Society for a number of years and appreciate their trust to be good stewards of their funding. Their support enables us to provide fuel and hotel gift cards to help patients with transportation and lodging during their cancer treatment. It really makes a huge difference,” said Scott Fox, executive director of the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation, in a news release.
