Cheyenne Regional to Host Butterfly Release for Families Remembering Babies

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Women and Children’s Services will host a Butterfly Release on Saturday, June 13, 2026, offering a quiet and supportive space for families to come together and remember their babies.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at Storey Gymnasium, 2811 House Ave. in Cheyenne. Community members are welcome to attend and take part in a morning centered on reflection and connection.

The gathering is intended for those who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss, as well as anyone wishing to offer support. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to guest speakers, participate in a butterfly release and spend time together over a catered brunch in a respectful and caring environment.

Families and loved ones may reserve a butterfly in memory of their baby. Reservations can be made by calling 307-633-7803 or visiting cheyenneregional.org/butterfly.

“This gathering is meant to offer a place for remembrance, in whatever way feels right for each individual,” said Megan Schuster, CRMC NICU nurse. “Our hope is that those who attend feel supported and surrounded by care.”

The Butterfly Release reflects Cheyenne Regional’s commitment to caring for families during both joyful and difficult moments.
