Cheyenne Regional Medical Center to Host Annual Navigating Diabetes Conference

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center will host its annual community diabetes conference, Navigating Health: Learning, Living and Thriving with Diabetes, Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Laramie County Community College Clay Pathfinder Building, 1400 E. College Drive. Registration opens at 8 a.m.

The conference is designed to provide education, resources and support for people living with diabetes and those who care for them. The event is open to all ages, including adults, children, families and caregivers.

“Living well with diabetes is about having the right information, resources and support to make healthy choices every day,” said Kimberly Hoyt, diabetes educator at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. “This conference gives people of all ages, along with their families and caregivers, an opportunity to learn, ask questions and connect with resources that can help them feel more confident managing diabetes.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from guest speakers, participate in free on-site A1C testing and enjoy special guest appearances. The event will also feature a live cooking demonstration from the Cent$ible Nutrition Program, vendors, door prizes and giveaways. Light refreshments and lunch are included.

Admission is $25, and attendees younger than 18 may attend free of charge. Advance registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.
