Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation to Host 2026 Great Bison Shuffle

The Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation is excited to host the Great Bison Shuffle presented by Adora Day Spa and the Cheyenne Skin Clinic on September 26, 2026 at the Terry Bison Ranch in support of the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab program. This family friendly race includes a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, 2K walk, and kids run and is a trail style course.

In 2025, CRMC Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab had 19,320 patient visits for exercise classes, a 10% increase from 2024 and 30% increase from 2023. Additionally, in January 2026, they saw a record of 1,013 Phase 3 Cardiac Rehab Patients.

“Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs play a vital role in helping patients recover, regain strength, improve quality of life, and reduce the risk of future health complications through medically supervised exercise, education, and support. To serve our ever-increasing volume of patients, we must continuously replace aging exercise equipment,” said Carrie Nix, CRMC cardiac and pulmonary rehab manager.

The Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Program houses 42 exercise machines between their two gyms with equipment averaging six hours of use per day. The exercise machines range in price from $4,000 to $7,000 apiece and need to be replaced every 7 to 12 years. Of their 42 machines, 14 of them are ten or more years old.

“We are so excited to partner with the CRMC Foundation for the 10th Annual Great Bison Shuffle,” Nix said. “The funds raised through this race are critical to keeping our programs running efficiently so we can serve our patients well. We are so grateful to the participants who come out year after year to support, and we’re looking forward to the race’s best year yet.”
