Cheyenne Regional Medical Center — Behavioral Health Services
The Psychiatric Assessment and Referral Team (PART) is a specialized group of licensed mental health professionals embedded in Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Department. PART clinicians are highly trained in Wyoming’s Title 25 emergency detention statute and provide rapid, expert behavioral health evaluations for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.
What PART Does
Our mission is to ensure individuals experiencing a behavioral health emergency receive the right care, at the right time, in the least restrictive setting possible. PART clinicians provide:
- Emergency Room Psychiatric Assessments and Title 25 Recommendations — Expert evaluation to determine whether an individual meets Wyoming’s criteria for emergency detention.
- Crisis Assessment & Intervention — Rapid, trauma-informed evaluation of behavioral health needs within the Emergency Department.
- Coordination of Care — Guidance through the emergency detention process, including communication with law enforcement, court systems, behavioral health providers and hospital teams.
- Compassionate Support — Every patient encounter is grounded in dignity, respect and patient-centered care.
