Virtual Care Services
Virtual care is the use of electronic communication to provide healthcare information and services remotely.
At Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, we use virtual care to:
- Provide patients with better access to care
- Enhance communication between Cheyenne Regional patients and their providers
- Offer more flexibility in how patients receive care
While virtual care is not meant to replace traditional clinical care, it can offer an affordable, efficient and effective way to expand and enhance that care. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is committed to being on the cutting edge of medicine.
Some of the ways that we are utilizing virtual care is:
- To bring in specialists to round on our admitted patients.
- To offer interpreter services via a remote interpretive service
- To augment patient monitoring with Telesitters, a virtual safety attendant committed to keeping our patients safe.
Virtual Care for Specialties
Being a frontier state, Wyoming is particularly suited to using virtual care as a means of providing and receiving medical care. It allows patients to receive care without having to drive long distances or in hazardous weather conditions. In addition, Cheyenne Regional is working to become a telemedicine hub that would offer medical specialty visits to other Wyoming hospitals. We’re excited to begin this new work as part of our focus on inspiring great health for our community, region and state!
