Medical Imaging / Radiology (FAQs)

We look forward to answering your questions about medical imaging / radiology at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center! If you have additional questions not answered here, please give us a call at (307) 633-7800.

Before your imaging procedure, be sure to ask your physician:

  • Why is the test needed?
  • How will having the test improve my care?
  • Are there alternatives that do not use radiation and deliver similar results?
  • Is the facility accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR)? (Note: Cheyenne Regional Medical Imaging is an ACR-accredited facility.)
  • Are pediatric and adult tests delivered using the appropriate radiation doses?

With the exception of X-rays, you will need an appointment for medical imaging at Cheyenne Regional. To schedule your appointment, please call (307) 633-7800.

Typically, results are available to your doctor within 24 to 48 hours. However, MyChart enrollees are typically able to see results on the same day exams are performed. For questions about MyChart, please call (307) 633-7925.

Copies of images and reports can be obtained by contacting Medical Records (HIM) at (307) 633-7925. If needed, we also have the ability to send imaging studies to other facilities.

One is for the technical service provided by the hospital; one is from the Radiologist who interpreted the images. Patients who use the MDSave cash pay option will not receive two bills. For questions about your billing, please contact Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Billing department at (307) 996-4777.
