Operating Room
The operating room has 9 surgical suites, two GI Endoscopy Procedure rooms and is full-service with specialties that include general, heart, vascular, neurology, orthopedic, genitourinary, gynecology, maxillofacial, plastic, ear/nose/throat, ophthalmology, bariatric and dental.
The facility’s staff is comprised of RNs, certified surgical technicians, anesthesia technicians, CNA/Patient Care Techs, perfusionists, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA) and secretaries. Between 400 and 500 surgical procedures are performed a month.
All RNs in the OR are TNCC (trauma certification) and CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room). An OR team, RN and Surgical Tech, are in house 24/7 to support our Trauma Program.
The facility has four specialty call teams – open heart, neuro, orthopedics and general surgery. The call teams are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They are also are certified in trauma care and assist when needed with trauma patients in the Emergency Room.
Anesthesia
The surgical team staffs an MD Anesthesiologist.
Sterile Processing
The staff decontaminates, reprocesses/reassembles and sterilizes equipment and supplies the Emergency Room, Obstetrics and Home Health—anywhere sterile equipment and supplies are needed.
Same Day Surgery
Same Day Surgery (SDS) staffs RNs, CNAs and secretaries to care for patients who are admitted and discharged for day surgery or other procedures too acute for a doctor’s office, yet not needing an overnight hospital stay.
PACU
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit RNs are ACLS and PALS certified and have a background in critical care nursing.
Care Clinic
Pre-op teaching and testing is done to prepare the patient for their surgical experience
