Kaan, Nathaniel, MD

CRMG Provider
Accepting New Patients

Nathaniel Kaan, MD joins Cheyenne Regional Medical Group for his first practice following his graduation from Emory University in June 2022.

Dr. Kaan enjoys being a physician because he finds his work both rewarding and challenging. “Human medicine is complex and constantly evolving. It fulfills my passion for lifelong learning and the application of evidence-based knowledge allows me to better serve my community. I find it rewarding to address medical problems and see the immediate outcome of relief of the patient,” he said.

Dr. Kaan grew up in Rock Springs and attended medical school through the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) program. Despite living in multiple states, his goal was always to return home to practice medicine. “I was particularly drawn to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center because it is an advanced and well-equipped medical facility comprised of numerous subspecialties not found in most rural communities.” Additionally, Dr. Kaan witnessed his father positively impact a smaller community through his contributions as a physician and hopes to have a similar impact in Cheyenne.

Dr. Kaan’s priorities as a physician are to provide patients with empirically-based treatment options using modern and proven surgical techniques and to empower patients through education so they can better understand disease processes and treatment options.

In his spare time, Dr. Kaan enjoys working on home-improvement projects, building computers and pursuing other tech-oriented projects. He enjoys sports and is an avid Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills fan. He and his girlfriend also enjoy exploring all Wyoming has to offer.
