Accepting New Patients

Greta Skagen, DNP-FNP, joined the Cheyenne Regional Cancer Center in January 2020. She has completed the extensive training required to be a Genetic Cancer Risk Assessment Counselor. Greta offers genetic counseling and testing for hereditary cancer risk assessment on a referral basis to the community. The goals of genetic cancer risk assessment are to determine if a patient and/or family has an inherited genetic variant or mutation that increases risk for cancers and to counsel positive patients and families about recommendations to reduce cancer risk through preventive measures, early detection and other strategies. Originally from Laramie, WY, Greta also has seven years of nursing experience in cardiovascular and cardiac rehabilitation care.
