Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Same Day Surgery and Post Anesthesia Care Units Earn 2026 National Nursing Certification Awards
The American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification Inc. has recognized Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Same Day Surgery and Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACU) with the 2026 ABPANC Certification Achievement Award. The awards are given to facilities where 75% or more of eligible perianesthesia nurses hold CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) and or CAPA (Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse) certification.
This achievement reflects a strong commitment to clinical excellence, professional development and high-quality patient care. By supporting specialty certification, the teams at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Same Day Surgery and PACU demonstrate a clear investment in advancing perianesthesia nursing practice.
Only a limited number of hospitals nationwide meet the benchmark of 75% or more certified perianesthesia nurses, placing Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Same Day Surgery and PACU among a select group of organizations committed to elevating nursing practice.
The CPAN and CAPA certification programs are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification, underscoring their role as leading credentials in perianesthesia nursing.
