Important Notice for Medicare Recipients
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and our Cheyenne Regional Medical Group want to make everyone aware of a potential issue affecting some Medicare recipients in our region.
Due to last year’s Change Healthcare data breach—which did not occur at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center or Cheyenne Regional Medical Group—some Medicare enrollees may receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) or Medicare Summary Notice listing medical services or prescriptions they did not receive. In some cases, these notices may also request payment for services that were never provided.
We strongly encourage you to carefully review any Medicare EOB or Summary Notice you receive. If you notice unfamiliar services or charges, take the following steps:
- Verify the information – Compare the details with your own medical records and prescriptions to ensure they are accurate.
- Report suspected fraud – If you believe the notice contains incorrect or fraudulent charges, contact Medicare immediately at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
- Reach out for help – If you have any concerns or need assistance understanding your Medicare notice, our team is here to help. Please call the Cheyenne Regional call center at (307) 997-4777 for support.
Your health and financial security are important to us. Staying vigilant with your Medicare statements is a key step in protecting yourself from potential fraud.

Success Story
“I was ecstatic to get back to where I was pre-injury.”
A ruptured Achilles tendon brought Isaac to Orthopedics & Surgical Specialists. Today, Isaac credits the care and attention of surgeon Dr. Jonathan Knott and his physical therapy team for his ability to make a full recovery—and be back at the level and intensity of activity he enjoyed prior to his injury.
