Rene R. Hinkle, MD, Interim Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Rene Hinkle is a co-founding partner at Cheyenne Women’s Clinic. Dr. Hinkle received her undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, then completed her medical training at the University of Miami. Her career continued with her residency in OB/GYN at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. She began her board-certified practice in OB/GYN care with three years in Naples, Italy, for the U.S. Navy, where she was Chairman in the Department of OB/GYN.

Dr. Hinkle has been practicing in Cheyenne for nearly 20 years. She gains satisfaction from helping women from adolescence through menopause improve and maintain their well-being. She served as Chair of OB/GYN at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and was Chief of Staff from 2012-2015. She is currently serving as the Cheyenne Regional Health System’s  interim Chief Medical Officer. She is a member of the Wyoming Medical Society and the Wyoming Board of Medicine.

In addition to being a dedicated physician, Dr. Hinkle is also a member of the Laramie County School District #1 Board of Trustees.  She is the mother of two girls and in her free time, she enjoys exercise, dancing, cooking and reading historical fiction. She is an avid football fan and can often be seen in Laramie at University of Wyoming games.
