Tenpenny, Rachel, RDN, LD

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Rachel Tenpenny, has worked at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center since 2020 as a Clinical Dietitian. She primarily works in the Outpatient Nutrition Center located in the Cancer Center. She is also one of the dietitians available in the Cardiac Rehab program at CRMC. Additionally, Rachel also flexes to cover acute care of all inpatient units.

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science: Dietetics in 2019 from the University of Maryland. Prior to her final year of her undergrad, the Air Force moved her family to Montgomery, Alabama in 2018 where Auburn University graciously let her finish her remaining courses to complete her undergraduate degree on time with the University of Maryland. Immediately following that, the Air Force moved her family again, this time to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Once in Cheyenne, she completed her distance dietetic internship with Sodexo, with a concentration in Clinical Care MNT, and most rotations were completed here at CRMC. After completion of her internship, she obtained her credentials as a Registered Dietitian.

Rachel is a military brat and military spouse, so she has lived in many different states and countries. In her free time, she enjoys furthering her traveling adventures, spending time outdoors hiking, lifting weights, playing with her two pups, and loving on her two little girls.
