Rachel McKinney brings 14 years of experience as a registered nurse to her role as a Nurse Practitioner at CRMG. She values the collaborative environment, supportive providers and staff, and the strong sense of community. Rachel also appreciates the many resources Cheyenne Regional offers to help its team members succeed.
Her patient care philosophy is to ensure that patients never feel alone in their health journeys.
“Working as a bedside registered nurse reinforced what I already knew about myself: I loved being a part of the team who took care of people in some of their scariest moments, in hopes of offering a face of hope, comfort and encouragement,” says Rachel. “As I grew as a nurse, I learned that I loved the role of advocacy for my patients, their families and my colleagues, which lead me to the nurse practitioner role.”
In her downtime, Rachel and her family enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, boating and camping. During football season, you will find them cheering on the Wyoming Cowboys!
