July 18, 2025 Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) recently installed two of the SOMATOM X.ceed CT Scanners with myExam Companion, the latest innovation from Siemens Healthineers. With intuitive navigation, innovative technology, and patient comfort features, the SOMATOM X.ceed is improving the CT experience for both patients and hospitals.

The intuitive user interface of myExam Companion seamlessly guides technicians of all skill levels to unlock the system’s full potential, no matter the patient or procedure complexity. By combining patient-specific data with details such as gender and age, identifying optimal acquisition and reconstruction techniques makes the imaging process more efficient. Along with the new color-coded indicator guiding patients through the breath hold process, the scanner’s mobile, detachable tablet allows technologists to remain with patients right up to scan time, creating a holistic, patient-centric scanning experience.

In addition to prioritizing the patient experience, the SOMATOM X.ceed’s innovative technology advances warrant equal acclaim. New patient visualization camera technology allows technologists to closely monitor patients inside the gantry to ensure better care. The FAST 3D Positioning Camera collects detailed anatomical information and automates patient positioning for precise results while the premium X-ray tube and detector lowers radiation dosage and contrast.
