Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Receives Quality Award

Cheyenne, WY—Mountain-Pacific Quality Health-Wyoming recently presented Cheyenne Regional Medical Center with the 2013 Quality Achievement Award, the highest quality award given by Mountain-Pacific.

Cheyenne Regional received the award for its outstanding performance in providing excellent care in the nationally measured areas of heart failure, pneumonia, acute myocardial infarction, infections prevention and surgical complications, according to Mountain-Pacific. The award also recognized Cheyenne Regional’s strong leadership support for quality and patient safety.

“This award helps validate all the hard work taking place at Cheyenne Regional to ensure our patients receive timely, consistent, safe, quality care,” said Dr. David Lind, Cheyenne Regional’s chief medical officer.

This is the eleventh year that Mountain-Pacific has presented hospital quality awards in Wyoming.

Mountain-Pacific is the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Montana, Wyoming, Hawaii and Alaska and works under contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicare Services to promote proven best practices that transform the way healthcare is delivered.
