Level III Trauma Center

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is a Level III Trauma Center with Neurosurgery capabilities, and we excel in providing exceptional care for both injured adult and injured pediatric patients.

Verified by the American College of Surgeons and holding the highest state trauma designation, our multitude of trauma services includes:

  • Cardiothoracic surgery
  • Neurosurgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Plastics
  • Trauma Surgery
  • Vascular

All of our Level III Trauma Center physicians are board-certified, and our Trauma Surgeons are trained in Advanced Trauma Life Support to ensure the ability to deliver comprehensive trauma care from time of injury to discharge.

You can drop off emergency service patients at the front entrance of the emergency department. After dropping off patients, please park in the CRMC parking garage located on the southeast corner of the hospital. You can also utilize our free valet parking service, offered from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Additionally, CRMC’s in-house helicopter service provides safe transportation to our rooftop helipad from anywhere in the region. Upon arrival to our emergency room as a trauma activation, you will be greeted by a multidisciplinary trauma team—including a trauma-certified provider, a trauma-certified registered nurse, rapid response nurse, and respiratory therapist—and have immediate access to the hospital’s state-of-the-art imaging.

In addition to providing exceptional care, the CRMC Trauma Program is committed to serving our community by providing injury prevention education and developing the best standard of care for the region.

Stop the Bleed

Uncontrolled bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death after traumatic injury. The Stop the Bleed program empowers everyday people to become immediate responders in life-threatening situations. By learning simple, proven techniques, anyone can step in to help save a life before professional medical care arrives.

At CRMC, we are proud to offer Stop the Bleed training sessions to our community. These FREE, hands-on workshops teach participants how to:

  • Recognize life-threatening bleeding
  • Apply pressure effectively
  • Use tourniquets and wound-packing techniques
  • Act quickly and confidently in an emergency

Whether you are a parent, teacher, coach, caregiver or simply a concerned citizen, this training equips you with the skills needed to make a difference when it matters most.
