Neurology is the treatment of conditions that affect the brain and nervous system. Our clinic provides comprehensive care for adults (age 18 and older) with neurological conditions that include the following:

We also provide a wide range of services that include the following:

  • Nerve conduction studies and electromyography (EMG)—used to diagnose disorders of the nerves and muscles
  • EEG and video EEG monitoring for the diagnosis of seizures
  • BOTOX® injections for treatment of migraines, spasticity and other neurologic conditions
  • Occipital nerve blocks for headache treatment
  • Neuropsychological testing/memory evaluation
  • Vagus nerve stimulator adjustment
  • Deep brain stimulator adjustment

Many people with neurologic disorders can benefit from a multidisciplinary evaluation and collaborative care. Our clinic works closely with physical and occupational therapies, speech therapy, pain management, psychiatry, psychology and advanced imaging services at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Our clinic also works closely with Cheyenne Regional’s Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care program to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.

Please see your primary care provider for a referral. For your convenience, forms for new patients are available online. You will need to bring the completed forms to your first appointment.

Planning for Your First Visit

After arranging an appointment with the Medical Specialty Clinic, please follow the list below to make your visit as quick and convenient as possible.

  • Plan to arrive up to 30 minutes early to complete the necessary registration and insurance information.
  • Please arrange to have your medical records and any diagnostic images performed outside of Cheyenne (MRIs, CT scans, X-rays) sent in advance or bring a copy with you. These records could help with the evaluation of your neurological system.
  • Bring all medications you are taking (or an accurate list) to each appointment. Be sure to include the the medication name, prescribed dosage and how often you take each medication.
  • Bring information about your insurance coverage. If any of this information changes between visits, please let us know so we can update your records.
  • Bring your insurance card(s) and a photo ID.
  • Please give us 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel your appointment, or you may be charged a cancellation fee.
