Johnson, Benjamin, DO

Accepting New Patients

Ben Johnson, DO attended medical school at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri, often traveling to Phoenix for clinical studies. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Colorado Anschutz Campus. Throughout his residency, he focused on inpatient medicine, neurology, psychiatry, specialty psychiatry, outpatient care and emergency care. He also worked in many specialty clinics that focused on depression, bipolar, geriatric and addiction patients.

Dr. Johnson joined Cheyenne Regional Medical Group due to its proximity to his home state of Colorado and his preference for working in a smaller community.

“I became a physician to continue my passion of exploring and learning about the human brain and body, while offering what I have to help heal,” says Dr. Johnson. “My philosophy is to collaborate with my patients and create a relationship built on mutual respect. I’m here to connect with my patients, listen to them, inform them and make recommendations to help guide them. I strive to understand my patients, but no one knows you better than you. As such, I involve the patient in decision-making whenever possible.”

When he is not treating his patients, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time in nature with his fiancée and very animated daughter. He also enjoys gardening, taking care of his chickens, hockey, football, lacrosse, mountain biking and snowboarding.
