Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is temporarily stopping unit tours beginning September 30. Tours are tentatively scheduled to resume on November 1, which is subject to change.
Mothers and their newborns need every opportunity to bond. That’s why our Mother/Baby Unit encourages rooming-in with your baby. You will have a private room so you can spend quality time in a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
Other services include:
- Overnight accommodations for one support person of the mother’s choice
- Snack accommodations for patient and support person
Our Level II/Special Care Nursery provides specialized care to premature and sick newborns with the goal of helping them experience an easier transition into their new world. Our Level II Nursery staff consists of registered nurses who have specialized training in caring for neonates.
If the newborn needs to stay in our special care nursery after the mother has been discharged from the hospital, boarder rooms are available for parents. This allows the parents to be close to their infant at all times. Our lactation team will continue to support moms and special care nursery infants with breastfeeding.
