Complementary therapy is used alongside traditional medical treatment to assist the cancer patient in maintaining a higher quality of life while undergoing cancer treatment. Complementary support services may help to relieve some of the symptoms and side effects of cancer and cancer treatment, as well as improve a person’s overall sense of well-being.
