Clinical trials enroll patients into clinical research studies that help to make progress in preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. Cheyenne Regional has been offering and participating in clinical trials since 2012. We offer cancer patients access to clinical trials that study the effects of new, innovative, investigational and experimental cancer treatments, while being able to stay close to home in a state-of-the-art setting. There are many different types of clinical trials. Some trials compare different combinations of existing treatments, others study new approaches in radiation therapy, and others explore new methods of treatment. Additionally, other clinical trials study ways to ease symptoms and minimize the side effects of treatment, as well as ways to prevent cancer.

To be enrolled in a clinical trial, you must meet guidelines specific for that particular trial. Patients enrolled in clinical trials will receive all the recommended treatments, and will be closely monitored.
