Following a cancer diagnosis, our compassionate healthcare experts are available to help patients and their families navigate the various treatment options available, as well as helping them to determine the most appropriate options and plans.

Patients who come to the Cheyenne Regional Cancer Center for treatment will receive inpatient and outpatient treatment in a comfortable setting by professionals who understand their physical and emotional needs.

Individualized Treatments

Chemotherapy

With chemotherapy, medicine reaches cancer cells that may have spread throughout the body. Unlike radiation therapy, which focuses on a particular part of the body, chemotherapy enters the bloodstream and circulates throughout the body.

Radiation

We perform a variety of radiation treatments designed to minimize side effects and provide patients with the highest quality of treatment. Our specialists administer radiation with the help of computer-driven equipment, which ensures increased accuracy while targeting a tumor, and protects the surrounding healthy tissue. This approach allows us to deliver high doses of radiation to the tumor without affecting the rest of the body.

The Cancer Center has two linear accelerator machines, one of which is the TomoTherapy system. TomoTherapy is an innovative medical treatment delivery system that uses a CT scan to locate and confirm treatment sites prior to the delivery of radiation, increasing accuracy.

Brachytherapy is an advanced cancer treatment method that delivers radiation internally, close to the tumor, by inserting or implanting a radioactive source into the tumor. This procedure can often be done on an outpatient basis. Brachytherapy may result in faster treatment delivery and shorter hospital time for inpatients.
