Harmon Davis MDYou might think it sounds funny to give money to your workplace, but Dr. Bud Davis feels differently. He gives to the CRMC Foundation regularly every year, despite having worked as one of the hospital’s top pulmonologists for more than 32 years. “I’ve worked here every day since my medical training. I’ve been here long enough to have experienced the joining of the Memorial and DePaul hospitals and to have served on the hospital board for 18 years, twice as Chief of Staff,” says Bud.

Bud gives to the Foundation because he feels it’s the best way to directly improve the hospital. He thinks it’s especially important to support the Foundation during times of limited resources: “To keep the hospital at the cutting edge of medicine, we all have to give back, physicians and staff included.”

He also sees the Foundation as a way for community members to offer guidance and much-needed resources, like equipment, to the hospital.

Bud likes working at CRMC. He especially enjoys his relationships with his patients and working with a medical staff that’s “entirely University trained and the top in their fields.”

Bud and his wife, Claire, raised their two children in Cheyenne. Claire works in town as an architect. She also believes in supporting the Foundation. Besides working at the hospital, Bud is an active member of the Young Men’s Literary Club of Cheyenne and contributes his writings and research to the group. He also enjoys gardening.
