Highlights:
3rd floor hallway to Cancer Center bridge by Central Supply will be temporarily re-routed through the CS space starting March 24th
B1 elevator is nearly complete. Inspections are being held this week and we will open once we have occupancy notice from the State
Evans avenue will be closed on April 5th to accommodate a concrete pump truck

Temporary re-route of the hallway in 3-1 North which goes to CS and leads to the Cancer Center bridge (area in red below)
The temporary hallway will be located through Central Supply to allow patients and employees access to the Cancer Center bridge. Please see the yellow temp hallway in picture below. The green line represents how access will be from either side.

A concrete pump truck will be parked on Evans Ave. which will require street closures.
Where is this happening?
Evans Street will be shut down between 22nd and 24th streets
23rd Street will be shut down between Van Lennen Ave. and Evans Ave. streets

What is happening?
We are nearly complete with the refurbishment of B1 elevator car. Inspections are occurring this week and we will open it back up as soon as we have the State occupancy letter in hand.

Why is this happening?
The elevators need to be refurbished as they have not been since the building was built in 2002. They are almost 20 years old.

What is happening?
Sawing, drilling, “thuds”, and vibration on the 4th floor, mostly in the 68 building, some in the patient tower.
Thuds, drilling, and impact noises will be ongoing in the 68 building for the next few weeks as the contractor is installing pipes and electrical conduit.
Contractor is working on finishing drywall in the patient tower and looking to start drywall hanging in the 68 building next week.
Contractor has moved out of 3-2 (woohoo!) and if you haven’t noticed, has mobilized in 3-1. They will continue working on the third floor of the 68 building through April.

Why is this happening?
As part of the Master Facility Plan, we are remodeling the 4th floor 68 building and 4thfloor patient tower to accommodate a new Mother Baby Unit. This construction will be ongoing until fall of 2022.
