January 14, 2022 Master Facility Update #11
Below is an overview of construction that is happening at Cheyenne Regional West for the upcoming week.
Highlights:
- Continuing construction noise from 4th floor renovation.
- Roof Project is nearly complete – for now.
- A2 elevator is nearly complete. B elevators are next!

What is happening? | Pounding, chipping, grinding, drilling, “thuds”, and vibration on the 4th floor, 68 building and patient tower.Thuds, drilling, and impact noises will be prominent for the next few weeks as the contractor is installing duct work, pipes, and electrical conduit.
Masonry demolition on the exterior north wall of the 68 building (directly below 5th floor, Peds unit) will occur for approximately three days.

Where is this happening? | 4th floor, patient tower and 68 building. |
When is this happening? | Week of January 17th. |
Why is this happening? | As part of the Master Facility Plan, we are remodeling the 4th floor 68 building and 4th floor patient tower to accommodate a new Mother Baby Unit. This construction will be ongoing until fall of 2022. |

What is happening? | The roofing project at both west and east campuses is nearly complete. Roofer will be installing metal flashing throughout the next two months. Very little is disruption anticipated, however you may see contractors transporting the metal up to the roofs. |
When is this happening? | Week of January 17th into February |
Why is this happening? | The flashing is a requirement to finish the new roof installs. |

What is happening? | A2 elevator is nearly complete! Which means we will be moving on to the B-elevator refurbishment project. Work on B1 elevator car is scheduled to start the week of January 31st. We will update with more information next week. |

Why is this happening? | The elevators need to be refurbished as they have not been since the building was built in 2002. They are almost 20 years old. |
