Global Big Latch On Event Supports and Encourages Breastfeeding

July 29, 2019

A celebration of families and breastfeeding

Cheyenne, WY–The Laramie County WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) office will host the Global Big Latch On event at 10 a.m. on August 3 at 421 E. 17th Street to celebrate, promote and support breastfeeding.

Global Big Latch On events take place at locations around the world, where people gather together to breastfeed and offer peer support to each other. Friends, family and community members are welcome to join the celebration.

As part of the event, there will be a breakfast burrito bar, fresh fruit and refreshments, a onesie/bib-decorating activity, a photo booth and specially designed diaper cake door prizes.

Concluding the morning of breastfeeding and fun activities will be a ‘Speedy Baby” Baby Crawl Contest. This will include babies 9 to 15 months of age encouraged to scoot, crawl or shuffle across a race course finish line.

Anyone is welcome to attend this event. Breastfeeding mothers and babies are especially encouraged to attend.

Global Big Latch On events aim to protect, promote and support breastfeeding families and to raise awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding.
