We are delighted to provide our Tender Care service to moms-to-be as well as after delivery. Tender Care is an opportunity for you and your support person to sit down one-on-one with a nurse before you deliver and also shortly after delivery.
Prenatal Tender Care:
We hope to see you before you deliver at about 36-38 weeks gestation. At this time, you will be able to pre-register, complete paperwork; discuss labor options and birth plans; review feeding preferences, visitation and patient care; and tour the unit.
Post-partum Tender Care:
Just before discharge from the hospital we will make an appointment for you to come back to the unit. During this visit, you will meet with our nursing staff to ensure that your baby is growing appropriately and that breastfeeding is going well. You will also be able to ask any questions that you may have about you or your baby.
