CRMC Home Health Aides to Wear Identifying Buttons to Ease Concerns

April 6, 2020

Cheyenne, WY—Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Home Health certified nurse aides will soon be wearing red lapel buttons identifying their roles while they are shopping for groceries for their homebound, elderly patients.

The buttons, which state “Home Health Worker/I’m Shopping for the Elderly,” are meant to reassure community members who may be worried about seeing someone wearing healthcare scrubs in public.

“We want our community to know that our Home Health CNAs are caring for homebound seniors and must wear their scrubs as part of their work and service. They are not putting our community at risk of catching the coronavirus,” said Kelley Turner, CRMC’s administrator of aging services.

CRMC has also posted a notice about the buttons on its social media pages.
