Cheyenne Regional’s CEO Search Committee Selects Two Finalists

January 14, 2014

Cheyenne, WY—Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s search committee for a new chief executive officer announced today that it has selected two finalists: Margo Karsten, Cheyenne Regional’s interim CEO, and Randy Anderson, a vice president within Sanford Health of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The finalists will be interviewed by Cheyenne Regional’s board of trustees in a special session starting at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 23. The interviews will be held in the hospital’s main auditoriums.

Cheyenne Regional’s former CEO, Dr. John Lucas, retired on August 31 after serving in the position for more than four years. Karsten has served as interim CEO since Lucas’s retirement.

The trustees will meet in regular session at 4 p.m., after the interviews conclude.

“The trustees hope to make a decision the same day as the interviews, if possible,” said Joe Evans, the board’s president and also a member of the eight-member search committee.

“The search committee has done a very thorough job screening candidates and selecting the two finalists,” Evans said. “It’s now up to the full board to decide who will best serve our patients, our system and our community.”
