Cheyenne Regional Medical Group (CRMG) and Cigna (NYSE: CI) have signed an agreement that will keep the doctors in Cigna’s network and ensure uninterrupted care for thousands of Cheyenne area customers.
“CRMG and Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) are both committed to providing our entire community access to their current, trusted providers without interruption,” said Kerry Slater, CRMG president.
CRMG and Cigna have been in negotiations for the past year and worked collaboratively to reach an agreement before the previous contract ended on June 1.
The new agreement deepens the relationship between Cigna and CRMG and advances well-coordinated and well-communicated care for CRMG patients who are Cigna customers.
“CRMG and Cigna will work together closely in the coming years to focus on wellness, prevention, lifestyle modification and chronic care management through our NCQA-certified primary care Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMHs) and our many specialty clinics,” Slater said.
“All along we sought an agreement that would be in the best interest of our customers and their employers and more in line with prevailing market prices. We are pleased we have reached an agreement that focuses on keeping healthcare costs predictable and affordable,” said John Roble, president of Cigna Mountain States.
