Mountain-Pacific Quality Health recently presented its “Recognition of Quality Award” to the Transitional Care Unit at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. The award recognizes Wyoming nursing homes for outstanding performance in effectively using quality assurance performance improvement technologies to improve care practices. The award also recognizes CRMC’s TCU for strong leadership that supports quality care.
CRMC’s TCU was one of 10 Wyoming nursing homes to receive the award. The award was presented during the Wyoming Quality Health Care Conference held last month in Casper.
“This recognition means a lot to the providers, nurses, therapists and other employees on our transitional care unit,” said Carol Rieser, CRMC’s administrator of Specialty Services. “Everyone here takes such great pride in their work and in the care they provide for our patients. Being recognized in this way is validation of how much emphasis we place on providing a comfortable, safe environment for our patients and on ensuring they achieve the best possible outcomes.”
CRMC’s TCU is a skilled nursing facility within the hospital that helps patients transition from a stay in the hospital back to home or another level of care.
Mountain-Pacific quality awardees are required to be in good standing with Wyoming’s Office of Healthcare Licensing and Survey and must also demonstrate quality improvement successes.
Mountain-Pacific is designated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as the Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization for Wyoming.
