Cheyenne, WY—Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is hosting a free men’s health event on October 26, 7-10:30 a.m., in the hospital’s main auditoriums, 214 East 23rd St.
“Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is offering this event as part of our overall focus on helping our community stay healthy,” said Barbara Lawyer, CRMC oncology program manager. “This event in particular offers a convenient way for men to ask medical experts about issues that can impact their health.”
The first 200 men to attend will receive a free blood test that will screen for lipids, testosterone, glucose and prostate-specific antigen levels. Men who have the blood test are asked not to eat or drink anything except water for at least 8 hours before the test. Prescribed medications should be taken as usual.
Information on a free colorectal screening for those who qualify and free stool-testing kits for the uninsured will also be available.
Sponsors include the Cheyenne Regional Cancer Center, Wyoming Institute of Population Health and Prostate Conditions Education Council.
