September 16, 2015—Today, we’re pleased to introduce you to Rita. She’s an RN Case Manager on the Oncology unit. She’s been with Cheyenne Regional for 6 years. Her positive attitude and zest for life is totally contagious. You can’t help but smile when you’re in the same room as her!
“It’s always been a pleasure to work for the hospital. I’ve wanted to be a nurse since I was six years old. I’ve worked in ERs, Labor & Delivery…working as an RN Case Manager has allowed me to continue working with both the patients and doctors. My goal is to do everything I can to help our patients.
In case management, we do insurance reviews and we send off information to insurance companies; anything that’s necessary to address a patient’s stay. I enjoy doing it! I’ve always enjoyed helping people. That’s always been my goal, to help my fellow man. I think that’s the goal for most people—and if I can go above and beyond, I will do that for anyone.
CRMC has been very good to me. I can’t think of a better place to work at this time. In the past I had some health issues, and the people here went above and beyond to help me too. I enjoy coming to work every day. I try to always have a positive attitude. My co-worker Misty is fantastic, too. We work so well together; it’s so good to have a quality team here in Case Management. It’s good to wake up in the morning! I walk in and face whatever challenges we have head on. We giggle and laugh and sometimes even cry with the patients. Life is good!”
