August 12, 2015—Meet Jesse and Kelly. Jesse is a project manager and director of the Project Management Office. Kelly is also a project manager in that department. These two have a great (unique!) sense of humor, they’re always bright and cheery, and they consistently help this organization to make the important, innovative changes that will push us forward into the future of healthcare. We love them.
“As project managers, we oversee any projects that have at least 100 hours of work time or at least a $50,000 budget (capital funds and/or operational funds). Basically, it’s setting up the entire charter, getting it approved through governance, going through scoping, and actually fulfilling the project. The projects we work on have a definite start and end. If it’s something that continues on and on, that would be overseen by Operations, not PMO.
I’ve been here for 7 years. I used to work in Data Management and moved over to the PMO in 2014. I like to work here because Cheyenne Regional has amazing benefits, I was born and raised in Cheyenne, and this hospital is the one that my family and friends go to. It’s important to me that they get excellent care and I’m honored to be a part of that and help those that take care of my loved ones. We’re a very service-oriented department. I like that Jesse is very flexible and this job allows me to be both a mom and a professional! And my favorite color is orange.”
“The Project Management Office (PMO) is a great department. We deliver projects to support the strategic plan of the organization. Because of that, our projects are quite dynamic and allow us to experience a plethora of areas within the healthcare organization. I have the wonderful opportunity to work with great departments like Marketing, and my awesome teammates Kelly and Carol.
I’ve been here two and a half years. It’s been a really great experience. Kelly is special, and my favorite color is green.”
